Antonio Piricone, winner of the First Prize at the Van Wassenaer Concours in Amsterdam (2009) and recipient of the Clementi Award in England (2011), trained under the guidance of Jacques Ogg, Stanley Hoogland, Andreas Staier, and Sally Sargent.
As a soloist and chamber musician on both modern and historical keyboard instruments, his distinctive approach to music captivates audiences, earning him an increasingly prominent presence in major international music institutions and festivals. He collaborates with world-renowned musicians, performing at esteemed venues such as the Essen Philharmonie, Liverpool Philharmonic Hall, Muziekgebouw Amsterdam, Warsaw Chopin Festival, Cité de la Musique Paris, Folle Journée Bilbao, Tokyo Metropolitan Art Space, Concerto Köln, Collegium 1704, and Tokyo Kosei Wind Orchestra.
His growing discography, often featured on major international broadcasters, includes the complete English Suites by J.S. Bach and the acclaimed album "De Meglio 1826," named Album of the Year by Junge Welt (2017). In 2021, he contributed to a DVD project involving the restoration of a tangent piano by Baldassare Pastore (Milan, 1799) at the Tagliavini Collection - San Colombano, Bologna.
Antonio Piricone divides his time between the Netherlands and Italy, where he focuses his musical research on the development of historical keyboard instruments. He has taught at the Conservatories of Alessandria, Trapani, Como, and Yasar University in Turkey. Currently, he holds the position of Piano Professor at the "G. B. Martini" Conservatory of Music in Bologna.
